Senior Adult Independent Living (SAIL)

The SAIL program provides seniors with case-managed home care assistance services that can help them live at home for as long as possible. The local Area on Aging works with professional agencies to deliver services to seniors at home, including adult day health care, delivery of meals, personal care, nursing and minor home repairs.

Who Is Eligible?

Adults who are 60 years old and up are eligible for this program. Those younger than 60 who have physical disabilities may also apply.

How To Get Started

Contact the Area Agency on Aging helpline at 602-264-4357, or call toll-free at 1-888-264-2258. An information and assistance specialist can see if you meet the basic eligibility guidelines, after which you can be referred to SAIL. An in-home assessment then evaluates your ability to perform daily living activities.

Duet

Offering free services to homebound seniors living independently in Glendale and throughout metro Phoenix, Duet provides transportation to grocery stores and medical appointments, healthy activities, conversation and support groups. Other services can include help with paperwork, minor handyman work and technical assistance with computers and smartphones.
